Professional Portfolio

Throughout the course of my Bachelors in Technical and Applied Studies at the University of Cincinnati I have been creating and developing my academic portfolio through WordPress.  The plan was to build an example of what the Bachelors degree from University of Cincinnati has taught me and how I have progressed throughout the course of the program.  There are many different items included in my academic portfolio accrued throughout my time in the program. If I was developing a professional portfolio I would use these skills I have learned, to develop a well-rounded representation of myself within the professional portfolio.

In a professional portfolio I would include a visual representation of who I am as a person, employee or employer to provide prospective employer’s or coworkers an idea of who I am on a personal level. I would then proceed to support and build the portfolio with pages regarding my educational accomplishments, professional accomplishments and personal accomplishments to give my readers an idea of my skill level. The professional portfolio would also have examples of my work with data to support goals I have achieved for my employers or tangible evidence of my accomplishments within the workplace.

Under the Home Section on my wordpress page you can learn a little bit about me both professionally and personally.  My Blog page is a cumulation of blogs I wrote regarding the rationale behind the design of my e-portfolio.  My resume although short is a list of my work history and the skills associated with those positions.

The Glossary was created to define key terms that are used in writing that I used to help further my literary skills.  The PLP is my Personalized Learning Plan or the plan I had envisioned to follow to further learn about my original career goal which was to become a Veterinary Pharmaceutical Representative.  Through career opportunities my original goal changed but I was able to easily utilize the skills I learned in the BTAS program to my current position of Veterinary Practice Manager.  The Journals I completed on the E-Portfolio were also geared towards this original goal but were utilized to help further my career through strengthening my writing skills.

The reflection of the BTAS program through the University of Cincinnati is an accumulation of my learning from the program.  It is a recap of how the program helped me to advance in my current career and change my future career goals.
